Terms and Conditions
Effective date:
1. About these Terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of GDL+, a digital lending platform operated by Growth and Development Asset Management Limited for eligible Nigerian youth, including National Youth Service Corps members and employed youth.
Credit facilities made available through GDL+ may be provided and serviced by regulated financial institutions, including Growth and Development Asset Management Limited. Identity-verification, credit assessment, payment, direct-debit, communications, analytics, and other specialist providers may also support the service. The entity identified as lender in your Key Fact Statement, offer letter, or loan agreement is your contractual lender for that facility.
By creating an account, applying for a loan, or accepting a loan offer, you agree to these Terms, the applicable Key Fact Statement and loan agreement, and our Privacy Notice.
2. Eligibility and account information
To use the lending service, you must:
- be at least 18 years old and legally able to contract;
- belong to an eligible customer pathway offered by the platform;
- provide accurate identity, contact, employment or NYSC, banking, and other information required for assessment;
- complete applicable know-your-customer, anti-money-laundering, identity, bank-account, and credit checks; and
- keep your credentials and transaction PIN secure.
Meeting the eligibility conditions does not guarantee approval. Applications are assessed using the product rules, affordability information, credit information, and the lender's approval criteria.
3. Loan applications and offers
Information shown before approval is indicative until you receive and accept a final offer. Before accepting, review the loan amount, annual or periodic interest, fees, total repayment amount, tenure, repayment dates, lender, and any other terms in the Key Fact Statement and loan agreement.
You confirm that application information is complete and accurate. Material misrepresentation, fraud, duplicate applications, or use of another person's identity may result in rejection, suspension, reporting, recovery action, or referral to the appropriate authority.
4. Disbursement and partner accounts
An approved loan is disbursed to the verified bank account or other regulated account specified in your accepted loan documents. Where a financial partner must create or link an account to provide a particular facility, you will be informed and any additional account terms will be presented or made available to you.
Disbursement timing may depend on successful verification, acceptance of final documents, partner availability, and payment network processing. A displayed or approved application is not evidence of disbursement until the transaction is confirmed.
5. Interest, fees, and optional services
Interest, processing charges, taxes, penalties, and any other applicable cost will be disclosed in the Key Fact Statement and loan agreement before acceptance. We will not treat an undisclosed amount as part of your agreed loan obligation.
Insurance or another ancillary service applies only when it is disclosed for your specific loan, supplied on stated terms, and lawfully accepted or required for that product. The relevant provider is responsible for benefits under its own contract.
6. Repayment
You must repay principal, interest, and disclosed charges on the dates in your repayment schedule. Available methods may include direct debit, bank transfer, card payment, or another method shown in the platform or your loan documents.
You authorize a repayment mandate only through the specific consent and verification flow presented to you. You must maintain sufficient funds and promptly report an incorrect, duplicated, or unrecognized debit. Early repayment is handled according to your loan agreement and applicable law.
7. Late payment and default
Missing a payment or breaching your loan agreement may result in disclosed default charges, restricted access to further credit, lawful recovery activity, and reporting to licensed credit bureaus. We and the lender will use proportionate recovery practices and the contact channels you supplied, subject to applicable consumer-protection and privacy law.
Contact us promptly if you are unable to pay. A request for assistance does not automatically change your repayment schedule; any revised arrangement must be confirmed through an authorized channel.
8. Data use and credit reporting
We process identity, financial, employment or NYSC, device, transaction, and communications information to operate the platform, assess applications, prevent fraud, service loans, collect repayments, meet legal obligations, and improve the service. We may obtain and share relevant information with regulated lenders, credit bureaus, identity and bank-verification providers, payment providers, professional advisers, and regulators as described in the Privacy Notice.
9. Communications
We may send transactional and regulatory communications through email, SMS, telephone, WhatsApp, in-product notices, or another channel you supplied. Keep your details current. Marketing messages will be handled according to applicable consent and opt-out requirements; opting out of marketing does not stop necessary account or loan communications.
10. Availability, suspension, and closure
The platform may be unavailable during maintenance, partner outages, security events, or circumstances outside reasonable control. We may restrict access to protect you or the service, investigate suspected fraud, comply with law, or respond to a material breach. Account closure does not cancel an outstanding loan or another accrued obligation.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect legal, regulatory, product, partner, or security changes. The effective date will identify the current version. Where required, we will give advance notice or request fresh acceptance. Changes do not retrospectively alter an accepted loan agreement unless permitted by that agreement and applicable law.
12. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Mandatory consumer rights and any dispute process in your loan agreement continue to apply.
Questions, complaints, and requests may be sent to support@pebbles.com. Please do not email passwords, transaction PINs, or one-time codes.
